You still should pre-heat your oven, but you won’t have to moderate your oven temperatures any because you are using a baking sheet. Once the cookies are done, let them cool for two minutes, then transfer them to a cookie cooling rack. Now that your cookies are cooling, you can work on your cleanup. Once the silicone baking mat is cool, wash it with warm, soapy water. After it is dry, you can either roll it up or lay it down to dry. You don’t need to do anything more than that. You can now tuck away your silicone baking away until your next venture in baking. Silicone mats are dishwasher safe, so if your little love nest has a dishwasher, don’t be afraid to load your silicone baking mat in their for a spin.

Now it is time to taste your cookies. Guess what, there won’t be any flavor or odor left over from the silicone baking mat. There won’t be any of the parchment smell or taste in your cookies if you were to use a parchment paper for your baking. There won’t be any of the wax smell or melted wax on cookie sheets that comes from using wax paper in your baking.
